Here is the turtle I found in our yard- on my birthday! My mom kept trying to convince me it was a gift from her, but from her initial reaction I knew she was pulling my leg.I am happy to report we discovered it was a red ear slider just like I have in my classroom. Another teacher agreed to take it in as her class pet since it appeared that it was hurt (a bad eye- perhaps that is why it got lost). It's eye is looking better and after almost 2 weeks it appeared to have finally eaten a live minnow- Yeah!
What have I told you- ALL GOD'S CREATURES LIVE AT THE SNYDER HOUSE!
