A LOVE Connection

This is Boomer, Grace's boyfriend. He lives next door and they have been the best of friends from the first time they met. However in the last week the fondness has grown a bit stronger. Every time I would leave to go feed and play with Boomer- she would want to go. She now knows what I mean when I say, "Do you want to go see Boomer?" I will let her out the door and she runs straight to their front porch.

After 3 or 4 days she finally figured out how Boomer plays catch (he gets a head start by running as soon as he releases the ball- Grace on the other hand waits till you release the ball) and was able to compete with him. The only way the photograph was able to get these pictures was by telling them to sit before the thrower would release.

Boomer is the one who taught her to drink out of a hose. I think that is the only water Boomer drank the whole week!

Who knows where this love affair will take us- I guess next door!

Rocky take 1- ACTION!

The first meet and greet

So the "kids" met for the first time the other night and boy let me tell you it was very funny.



Jay insisted that they get a picture together which was a tad bit scary for me- and I'm just the aunt. As you can see it didn't go so well. I'm sure it will get easier in the future and you will see way more pictures of the "kids" they you would ever want to see!







Oh yeah, we are also dog sitting- and creature sitting for the next door neighbors this week. You know the ones who feed the birds and squirrels. Well that's my job for the next week so I'm hoping to get you a few action shots.

Good old technology

I feel as thought I need to explain why I haven't posted in over a week. First of all I have not been very camera happy lately. I suppose due to all the scrapbooking I have been trying to get caught up on. Second, I tried to post the other day and got all the way to the end of my story and poof it wouldn't save and it was gone. Now I know how some of my blogger friends feel about their technology mishaps in the last week or so. They are soooooo not fun!

Flying Squirrels?

Ok- so I don't know everything.



Since being at home during the day light hours I have had the priveledge to enjoy God's creations. In the last week or so I have seen butterfly's, worms, and birds of all types because our neighbor feeds them; and we get to enjoy seeing them! My favorite is this huge Blue Jay that likes to sit on the man grill. However the most entertaining is the squirrel. From our office I can see into our backyard and woods behind our house. Our little Rocky likes to run across our fence along our neighbors fence get a snack and then run back across to the only tree branch within flying distance and leaps. Honestly the branch must be 5 feet away, but Rocky makes it every time-leaving the branch to sway up and down for minutes.

When I shared my adventure with the man he ever so gentley explains to me that "yeah charity, squirrel's can fly!" It seems as though the saying remains true- you do learn something NEW everyday.



If I thought Icould actually get a picture/video of this I would try- maybe I will!

The end of a season

My first public school job has come to an end. I have loved, cried, and even hated my job over the past four years. This is a picture of my classroom the last three years...

and this is a picture of it all cleaned out of my stuff. I honestly didn't realize how much stuff I had- but my house shows it. I think all in all we took 10 full car trips and then some.

We are all looking forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony at my new school on July 14th. After that the hustle and bustle will begin to get a brand new school and classroom ready for the first day of school. As for now I am resting up for the BIG move and a new season of my career.

A little bit more than expected while mowing...

Grace helped mom and dad find an unwanted friend in the backyard Saturday.

I figured our Ohio friends would think this looked familiar so I took a picture just for them. I know ours isn't real big- BUT was big enough to be in our yard! Ironically as you can see below I don't mind snakes. I just mind them at my house! (my expression, honestly was for the kids sake when the "zoo man" said the snake liked to eat teachers- not!)
